Home and family are my central focus so it was only natural that my career would revolve around the same elements. Add to that my innate desire to educate, advocate, and problem solve for others, and a Realtor® was born. In short, I help people avoid the potential pitfalls involved in real estate transactions, negotiate the sale, and assist them in finding their dream home.
Selling real estate and training real estate agents has been a part of my life for over fifteen years now. I mentioned in my “Ten Things That Have Filled My Days” post that I would be launching another blog this year focused on real estate. I am happy to say that Real Estate Roost is up and running!
As with any blog, including Cluck Howl Crow, it is a work in progress, and it will take time to build up content. I am excited though because I have a muse for this site. His name is Zeus, and he is our family’s Cardigan Welsh Corgi.
Currently, 68% of U.S. Households have at least one pet with dogs ranking at 56% and cats at 36% being the most common. More and more pets are ranking as family members in households and often serve as types of surrogate children or grandchildren. Millennials are leading the way with this trend as they refer to their pets as “fur babies” and consider their beloved pet as their first, or only, “child.” Pets can provide support for our mental health, physical health, and social health. Their companionship is increasingly relevant in today’s frenetic world.
Currently, most real estate search engines do not offer filters that make it easy to identify if a home is pet-friendly. To help my customers and readers determine if a house might be a good fit for their four-legged family member I created Zeus’s Pet Roost Review Rating System. This simple system will give a property rating on both location and amenities that are important to pet owners according to the National Association of Realtors®, Zeus, and my personal experience with client needs.
I will also be sharing data from national and local resources and furnishing free buyer and seller guidebooks that are available for download. While all of this information is great, it is important to remember that nothing takes the place of on the ground expertise. My years of working as a Realtor® has taught me that while my clients have access to data and information online, they do not necessarily have the expertise to utilize it to their advantage when dealing with a lease, purchase, or sale of a property on their own.
Creating a life filled with the people (pets), places, and activities, that you love is easier if you surround yourself with the right environment. It all starts with finding the right home or reinventing the one you are living in today. I hope you will enjoy keeping up with the market and other tidbits on my blog www.realestateroost.com. You will still find my lifestyle blog and personal journey here on www.cluckhowlcrow.com.
As always thank you for being friend and reader!
